Nige grew up in the UK, on a coastal town east of London. Indoctrinated into sailing from an early age by his dad who competed in a number of Olympic sailing campaigns, being on the water has always been his passion.
As a teenager and through University, Nige competed at a high level in both sailing and squash, being a member of the 1st team for both the University of Reading and University of Plymouth in both sports. Post college, his most notable sporting achievements are winning a UK National sailing championship in the single handed International Moth class sail boat in 2000 along with a 3rd in the same year at the European championships. Skiing and boarding have also always been a big draw, really anything that is outdoor, a physical challenge and has a sense of adventure and he’ll be up for it.
Nige moved from London to San Francisco in 2001 to start his software/consulting services company, IO Integration, then to Friday Harbor in 2006 and has been here since.
As a member of The Studio since it opened, Nige has really enjoyed the focus on form and movement and currently teaches TRX and Indo-Row Classes.
